hey I'm going to say hi to build a toilet roll racer so this is used for the new cars and these are the basic supplies that you need to do it you need a toilet roll empty need a couple of number 32 rubber bands have gotten from class hot glue is going to be used for that you might depending which type of hanger you might need something to cut wire with or defend wire is so so I got some pliers that acted wire cutters here to Old CDs or DVDs please that are no longer going to be used they will be ruined after you do this so you don't want to use ones that you need and see there's a little piece of hanger here and witches couple inches long when there's also a pushed-in which is designed just to get ahold started for us that's not part of the car just helps us to do something so the first do you want to do with this equipment is you're going to want to take the two CDs and glue them  to the toilet roll  empty toilet roll so the way that you do this is I don't know I like let's make it black people put the sparkly side on the outside of our car so that that shining as it's moving down the track pretty cool looking so what will do is Will glue this to the inside ring right there so what I'm going to do is just take some hot blue here who was put on here but just has to meet where it's going to be in my kind of distant legal it around and if it's not centered it's okay turn the move up and down when it goes down the track should be okay so this is centered pretty well that's looking directly above you can see that there is no they're important to have so the whole pretty Center back and then what I'm going to do is I'm going to put this one down to do the hot glue around this outside and then I'm going to play the other side of the toilet go on that one K done with the flu  now take this and you'll take the other side will be able to see what I'm doing cuz it'll be hitting here you do the same thing so he's got this one on there too if you want to of course you can always come around for a little extra around the outside if you're somebody who likes blue or something or just didn't get on their good enough like this and you can see that's already rolling so it likes to roll so how we going to get this to be powered by a rubber band for the next thing you're going to want to do is you're going to want to take your hanger if you have a hanger like this  take the  take the part that cardboard part on the bottom and just take that off and then this work pretty good if you don't want to spend much time on the car so we can all make the car right now based on this one so what I'm going to do next I'm going to take the two rubber bands I'm going to tajam to make one long rubber band to do that what you do is you take one rubber band you put it through the middle of the other and then you take this rubber band and you put it through itself and then if you grab the one on the bottom and the pizza just brought through it tight you got a longer rubber band now so this is what I'm going to use it's going to go through the middle of so the other thing I'm going to need is I'm also going to need to I'll do it at the end I need to poke some holes in here I might want to have done happy for actually glued but you can do it after things come on glue just so now we want to do as we want to pull this so that it's through the middle of up your toilet racer up here so I'm going to use the end of my wire hanger here I'm going to straighten it out a minute so I taken the end and it's normally kind of bent in this weird pattern when you get done with it and I taking this end and I meant it to be more straight so that I can stick it through the middle of it and out the other side so you can see now it's stuck it through the middle in through what end and then what you can do is just grab what's the rubber band with the Whole Foods coming through this drive and then pull the rubber band through how are you doing you want to hold it on this site you don't want to get through is he the rubber bands through then take the hook from the other side and hook that right onto the rubber band so you see now the rubber bands going through the middle and it up I'm not twisting at all we need to somehow connect the rubber band to the car so that if we want him the car around the rubber band get home so this is where you going to use your pen disappeared on me so we want to put a little piece of metal through here and then as it goes through the middle as it goes to the middle going to do is it's going to go in between the rubber band on the inside so it's got to go to the rubber band on the inside like this so the rubber band has to be on either side of it to the middle and it pokes out so we're going to do this as close to the middle as possible the push pin again this is just to get the whole started for the for the piece of metal now we want to kind of estimate someplace on the other side so I've done this one right here maybe about right here is going to be directly straight through so Polk that with the push pin kind of move it around to make the hole a little bigger the problem is when you go to actually push your extra wire through sometimes this isn't sharp enough and it won't poke through it it just collapses the toilet paper roll so now which do is put this through one of the holes so now is we're putting it through the middle here we want to get it through the rubber bands so let's see here now you can see if you can see in there see I've got it going through the rubber band through both sides it doesn't matter it's one-sided you need to be to that not in the middle just be one of the rubber bands and all the way through to the other side and then if I look through the middle I can kind of see where that other hole was started about right there do you want to push this a little bit maybe  clear we go can you can see now it's pushed the other side  so now what happened is when we lined up our car you can see that the rubber band on the side here starting to quit stuff it's storing energy I'm so if we twist this is ready to go now your car is done so all you need to do is Twist this up Chris this up Chris stop a lot  you can see that the rubber bands starting to get some twisting it here so just doing some more twisting and then if after you put that I haven't twisted up all the way if you let go  if it starts to move across the table all on song so you can put this little piece in front and act like a little snow plow you got a snow plow you can drag it behind is this car moves on its own the more that you wanted it up the morial go if you wanted up too much in your rubber bands break just get a couple of new ones and restring them through the middle so this car is very so that's a toilet roll racer now sometimes you don't have the wire hanger that actually has the piece of cardboard that you have one of these for one so in this case you're going to need to cut this one kind of the best way to do it is you wanted to be at least as wide it's got to be at least as wide as as the toilet roll racer you don't want these things so thin that they come in and hit side of it that's extra friction and that's going to cool down your car so what you might want to do if you're going to bend your own is I think 6 inches 6 in 6 is a good three measurements please look at this is not six inches across it's only like four and a half inches across if we look from one side to the other so six inches would if we have a 6 in Long piece that goes from here to here that would be good enough to go on either side of these without rubbing against them and then we also need to pee to come out far enough to go on the wheels so I need to be more than two and a half so 6in again give you plenty of room plus to make a little Loop so what I suggest you do here is start maybe with a little cut up here or something can I measure 6 6 6 at 18 in turn this point so we'll go down around oh wait a minute  if we look at this one what's nice about this angered one of the bigger ones you can see that from this Edge over to hear is 12 in and then if I go to the other Edge that's another bit this is an 18 inch across the bottom some are 18 inches across the bottom then you're going to need to use some of the extra Harbison 18 I don't need to use that extra all I'm going to do is take this one with his 18 bottom  put it on either side with a wire cutter  and now I've got a big long 18 inches long so what I want to do is 6 inches on one side measure 6 that's from the end right here that's six inches it doesn't need to be perfect and what I want to do is I want and the wire at that point hit 90 degrees  so what I do is I in my pliers and I use my pliers to hold it while I send it to a 90 degree angle and I line it up with the edge of the fire and then what I want to do is go over 6 in in from the other end  sicknesses in from the other end and we want to make a here now this fan we wanted to be back along this when we want a kind of a u shape as we go to take it and I'll send it now this should be close to 666  66 inches 6 inches now the one thing that you're probably want to do is make a maybe a little book to hold your rubber man so they don't always come off what you want to do is just take the pliers paint the end one of the end in bend it back over itself this way don't bend it outward if you bend it outward that thing can hit the side of the track we don't want to vent out or Drew on upper down here take this one and send it right around and make a little and I'm going to do the same on this side  send it around to make a little  so now you can think I've got hope symbols maybe they make them the same size I would have been nicer to do and now if I go back to control razor that I built or this one this piece can be used in here instead of a big long piece so now what we can do is we can switch this out fun doing the rubber bands you might just pull them through the first time  maybe I should do that so all the way through here what do you do with this one so now I've got this one I'm not going to use the big long one I'm going to use something a little bit maybe a little bit better for friction it so what I'm going to do is I want to get this hooked up now I want this the across here on either side of this 1 Edge all the way straight through to the other side and a grab the two rubber bands that I have put together  and then I'm just going to pull that through the minute number hold the rubber band on  so then you're going to hold the rubber band with your you're going to pull it through to the other side  so holding it on this side with your finger pull it all the way through to the other side and then sing this hook around and hope this to the rubberband so again we still have to get that piece of metal through the rubber band in the middle so that it can whined so now you want to take that extra piece of metal that you have polka through look through the middle  okay my done okay so once again going to have to try via rubberband through here just some of the things that old lady called you little frustration and okay it'll work so again put this through this side through hook the rubber band till it through once it's warmed up a little bit to the tension keeps so pulling it all the way through that sides all the way through I've held the other side with my finger and then I hooked that on  hopefully I'll say this maybe you can even take this invented out a little bit if you want so that there sits holding the rubber bands there and it won't come undone now what I want to do is take that extra piece that I had okay where's my piece side and what we want to do is put that again through the middle of the rubber bands in here Emeritus so you can see now that the in between one of those rubber bands you can't be no just the one side or the other doesn't work it's got to be in the and then you want to look inside here you can see the hole on the other side and I can get it through there so there's if you're if you're looking to hear you'll see it a lot better there's a hole on the other lamp maybe stuff isn't so good after all four I got this one again this is what it would look like this time so you got a little different piece that attaches the rubber bands and now as you while I'm this up and I haven't even wanted up all the way just a little bit starting to get that you can see it moves when I let go so sometimes these run better actually with the piece in the front because if that piece in the front if it's designed right when it hits the wall it will get pushed right back into going straight sometimes when these hit the wall they'll turn and they'll go right to the wall they won't go further down the track so if the stop walls are like my hands here in this one comes over here and hits the wall and turns it's going to stop but if it just hits the wall and bounces off and goes back this way keeps going down the track the other side bounces off keeps going down the track so sometimes these pieces in the front can be advantageous specially when they're kind of even and you can always move a rubber band I just did I move this rubber band up so that they're both about moving now so I'm about to sing them out in the front Shadow and showing there so that is your toy what role rates are now these things if they wind up and him up too much in the rubber band break goes well for you and I will see you in class
