We are testing out presenting 1 live Zoom meeting per week and all of my English periods are welcome to attend.
It will be on TBD
If you have another Zoom meeting at that time, no worries.
I will record the meeting so you can watch it later.

OPTIONAL student expression to be showcased on PLHS Social Media

In this extraordinary time students are experiencing a whole range of emotions. As such, there are a lot of students who may want to express themselves: writing, acting, painting, photography, computer graphics, video, etc. We would like to provide an opportunity for students to showcase their talents in their own unique way. On Mondays, admin will pick up to five submissions a week to feature on PLHS Social Media.

Student submissions need to follow a few guidelines:
1. Original content or properly sourced content only. Students can recite written text, or do a cover song, etc. but must acknowledge the original content creator.
2. Submissions may not contain any of the following:
a. Rude or obscene language (i.e. swear words, sexual jokes, violent threats, etc.).
b. Hate speech (i.e. racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.).
c. Insults towards a specific student(s) or a teacher(s).

No live meeting this week. I'm trying out an asynchronous Zoom meeting instead. The recording is in Google Classroom.

We got through our first week of distance learning, huzzah!
 
There was confusion about students earning attendance credit this week.
Starting on Monday, we will take attendance differently.
I will post a google form in google classroom for you to submit that you are participating each week.
There will be a new form posted each week for you to fill out and submit.
 
Zoom meeting schedule-
Monday 10am- period 1
Monday 11am- period 2
Wednesday 11am- period 4
Friday 10am- period 5

Fridays- period 5 at 10am

We are going to have a Zoom meeting for period 1 at 10am and period 2 at 11am. Check Google Classroom for the registration link.

The Three Article Charts are due 4/28.
You only need to submit the 3 article charts. 
I have taken away the group script colorized chart because students are having trouble contacting their group members.

I have posted all of the remaining assignments for the school year on Google Classroom. You are welcome to get a head start on the assignments if you wish but I'm not available for direct instruction or assistance until the 27th.
