You will find all assignments and announcements for both 9th Grade English and Writers Workshop courses in Canvas. If you are on the roster - you are already enrolled in the course in Canvas. (Course content will be available after 11/01/2020.)

If there is a question about course content or grading, it is always best if the student sends the email themselves.
Students will have access to Remind in the first few weeks of class. This will be used for communication concerning assignment updates, due date, and reminders. There will be specific information about how to do that in a future assignment in Canvas.
Teacher Bio:
Darren Samakosky has been teaching English Language Arts at Point Loma High since 2005. Darren has taught all levels of English, as well as Journalism, and AVID. Darren facilitates the Writers Workshop program assisting young writers to find their voice and confidence. His passions are music, writing, and education. He enjoys sharing his love of learning with all of his classes.
