Will there still be athletics and other extracurricular activities?
Yes but in an online setting for now. Per CIF guidelines, athletic programs have been put on hold through December 2020 pending any additional COVID-19 restrictions. Seasons will be realigned to match this new timeline. Please contact our Athletic Director, Manny Diaz (, with any questions.
“6th Period” Athletics will also still be offered but through online learning in similarity to your other classes. With our new quarter system, please check your schedule for the specific period in which it will take place. Keep in mind that Freshmen and any students not previously on a team roster last year will not be placed in this Athletics class until they are rostered to a PLHS CIF team (this cannot happen before tryouts) and thus will not occur until CIF approves in person/onsite athletic programs. For more information on “6th Period” Athletics visit our athletics website.

Clubs and other extracurricular activities will still be offered but in a virtual format until we can return safely onsite. Contact our ASB Director, Amy Denney (, if interested in starting/joining a club.
