GRAD NITE

Departure Details:
Students are required to come to school at 8:50 to check into their 1st period class.
Buses will be lined up on Chatsworth at 9:30.
You will check in and proceed to your bus with your personal belongings. Before boarding the bus, you will line up with your personal belongings and our drug sniffing canine will inspect all bags. There will be two chaperones on the bus. They will share their cell numbers with you and they have a list of your names, your cell numbers along with the emergency forms you filled out earlier in the year.
Buses will depart from PLHS at 10:00. If you miss the bus, you miss Grad Nite. Students are NOT permitted to drive themselves. Your chaperones will give you your ticket once you are on your way.

Note about parking:

Please do not park on school property.  The gates will be locked Friday night and will not be opened until Saturday morning.

What to Bring:
Students are permitted to bring an EMPTY reusable water bottle as long as they are not made of glass. You can bring a factory sealed water bottle to drink on the way up to Disneyland and then can fill your water bottle once you are in the park.
You can bring snacks for the bus ride there but outside food and drinks are not permitted in the park. Bring money to purchase food throughout the day and night. Bring what you would normally bring for a LONG day and night at Disney...dress in layers, an extra battery for your phone and don't forget sunscreen. Dress comfortably BUT appropriately. Nothing too revealing (Disney has been known to escort people out for this or offensive. The buses are NOT staying at Disney so you can NOT leave anything on the bus. Do NOT bring pillows, blankets, etc. Your items must stay with you at all times. The buses will return to pick you up but they may be chartering other people while we are at Disney.  Hats are permitted to wear.

Security at Disney:

Upon arrival at Disneyland, guests can expect magnetometer screenings, bag checks and drug sniffing canines once again. If banned substances are found, the matter will be turned over to the Anaheim Police Department. No glass of any kind is permitted.

Medication:

You can bring epiPens, antihistamines and asthma medications into Disney.  Please inform the Cast member who checks your bag that you or someone in your group has an allergy and you require medically necessary items.

Medication is no longer subject to inspection by Resort nurses. However, all prescription and over the counter medication for students must be in original pharmacy containers or original labeled containers and carried in by a chaperone from the school through the Resort security screening area. Medication may be given back to the student after clearing the security screening process.

Discipline:
If a student gets in trouble at any time while at the Disney Resort, they will be detained and a parent will be called. Regardless of the time, parents MUST come to Disneyland to pick up their child. Being at Grad Nite is a privilege and not following rules and expectations will not be tolerated.

Returning to PLHS:

The Grad Nite Party is expected to end around 2am. Students will make a plan with their chaperones and bus driver about where to meet to board the bus to return to PLHS. Since the bus doesn't stay there all day, please remind them to pay attention because likely the bus will be in a different place when it's time to leave.

Their chaperones will likely set up a meeting spot with them. We hope to depart no later than 3am and will likely be back at PLHS around 5am.
