PLHS Opening Up 4 Days a Week for Onsite Learning Starting Tuesday 5/4!!

Beginning tomorrow Tuesday, May 4th, Point Loma High will move to a “4 Day” schedule where all students who have selected the onsite learning model will attend Monday through Thursday. Students will continue to follow the same bell schedule including the current Friday online check-in model. All health and safety protocols currently in place will continue. As always, if a student is not feeling well they should stay home on participate in their learning virtually.  If a student is too ill to participate virtually, please contact the attendance office to report the absence.

Families currently utilizing the online learning model will continue with this method. Families wishing to change their mind must contact their child’s counselor first to determine if space is available.

Students may be moved to an overflow learning lab for one or more periods to allow us to meet existing health and safety protocols. When movement occurs, these students will participate synchronously with their teacher via zoom and be rotated throughout the week. Students will be rotated as follows:
  • Students with the last name that ends in the letters A-K will attend all periods on  Monday and Tuesday.  These students may be moved to a learning lab for select periods on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Students with the last name that ends in the letters L-Z will attend all periods on  Wednesday and Thursday.  These students may be moved to a learning lab for select periods on Monday and Tuesday.
Families who do not wish to continue with onsite learning can contact their child’s counselor and request to be assigned to the online model.

We are excited to welcome our students back to four days of onsite instruction. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through this transition.
