Course Description
Our last chapter of the school year is chapter 11. The quiz on 11.1-11.2 will be on Friday, May 17. The test on chapter 11 will be on Friday, May 24. All students will take the short answer portion of the final exam on Thursday, June 6. Seniors will take the multiple choice portion on Wednesday, June 5. Underclassmen will take the multiple choice final during the final exam days. Period 4 is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11 and period 6 is on Friday, June 7. There are no make ups for the final exam so please plan accordingly. The "notecard" day for 10th & 11th graders is Wednesday, June 5. This is an in class assignment due at the end of class. Seniors will need to complete their notecards ahead of time and submit them by Tuesday, June 4.
We will start chapter 8 on Monday, April 22. The dates for things will be spread out a little due to the CST testing during those two weeks. The quiz on 8.1-8.3 will be on Friday, May 3. The test on chapter 8 will be on Friday, May 10.
After spring break, we will start chapter 9 on conics. It is a short chapter so stay on top of things. The quiz will be on section 9.1-9.3 on Friday, April 12. The test will be on Friday, April 19. The test covers sections 1, 2, 3, & 5 plus the word problems.
Chapter 10 starts on Tuesday, March 12. The quiz on 10.1-10.3 will be on Tuesday, March 19. The test on chapter 10 will be on Thursday, March 28. This is the day before spring break starts.
Chapter 7 starts on Thursday, February 21. The quiz on 7.1-7.3 will be on Friday, March 1. The test on chapter 7 will be on Monday, March 11. The grading period ends on March 8. The first progress report will be based on all of chapter 6 and the quiz for chapter 7.
We start chapter 6 on Monday, January 28. The quiz on 6.1-6.3 will be on Tuesday, February 5. The test on chapter 6 will be on Wednesday, February 20. There is no school on Friday, 2/15 or Monday 2/18 for Lincoln and Washington's birthdays.
Our quiz on 1.2-1.5 will be on Thursday, 9/13. The test on chapter 1 will be on Monday, 9/24.
The chapter 2 quiz on 2.1-2.4 will be on Tuesday, October 2. The chapter 2 test will be on Thursday, October 11. The grading period ends on October 12. The first progress report will include both chapters 1 & 2.
The quiz on 3.1-3.3 will be on Friday, October 19. The chapter 3 test will be on Friday, October 26.
The quiz on 4.1-4.4 will be on Thursday, 11/8. The test on chapter 4 will be on Friday, 11/30. The grading period ends on Friday, 11/30. The chapter 4 test will count towards the progress report grade. Take good notes during chapter 4 because there are some holidays during this chapter. Monday, November 12 is the observance of Veteran's Day and there is no school. Also, Thanksgiving vacation is from Monday, 11/19 until Friday, 11/23. The first semester ends on Friday, January 25. Final exams for period 4 are on Thursday 1/24, and period 6 on Friday, 1/25. Review Packets will be handed out after we return from winter break.
