The purpose of the AP Human Geography course is to introduce students to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, use, and alteration of Earth's surface. Students employ spatial concepts and landscape analysis to examine human social organization and its environmental consequences. Please check out Power School to see if you are missing any APHG binder assignments that were due on or before March 13. You should have the assignments in your APHG binder, complete it, take a picture or scan, and email to me by the end of this week. I have received and I will update missing binder assignments, from those students that emailed them to me. Students that completed Extra Credit opportunity, AP Classroom Units 1-5 Practice Exams by May 11 will receive extra credit. I will update next week in Power School, Semester 2 AP Human Geography grades. Finally, next week I will post AP World History prep links that you can use to help prep for AP World History next year.

Monday 5/11/2020 is the last day to COMPLETE and submit APHG Units 1-5 practice exams for extra credit opportunity, as well as any make up work is due. Be sure to read and review all AP updates that were emailed to you this past week, to get ready for your APHG exam on Tuesday May 12!!! Finish your APHG study, review, and relax Monday evening. Be sure to get 8 hours of sleep!!! Get up early Tuesday morning, workout, exercise, and eat a good healthy breakfast!!! Be ready, prepared, succeed, take your APHG exam!!!

- READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Your initials and APID are needed on your docs.
- WATCH THE TIME! Start submitting at the 5:00 mark whether you are done or not. It’s better to submit a partial response than run out of time and have to re-take the exam.
- Students report that the AP site was “laggy” and had trouble copying/pasting.
- INTERNET RELIABILITY. Using the phone as a back-up hot spot for internet saved at least one student.
- At least one student found having the textbook there to be helpful.
- Students recommend having a Google Doc and the actual exam side by side on the computer.
What to do if/when students can't submit their exams:
- Students will need to submit a form - cb.org/requestmakeup
- Students will need their original ticket to complete the form.
- Students will get another chance to test in June.
