Study Guide for Second Semester Final.

Study the notes and vocabulary words for test.

Chapter 10 test.  Study vocabulary and notes from class. 

Pages 516 - 532 from BSCS Biology text will have the information covered in class.

 

Proof of appropriate study guide is to be turned in prior to the test. Notes taken in class will not be accepted as the study guide.

Chapter 9 test

Study all the vocabulary words even those from chapter 8. 

Understand how to do Punnett square problems

Know how to read pedigree charts.

Study and know the notations for the different blood types

know how to calculate the ratio from a cross between two individuals

understand the concept of sex-linked, (x-linked) genes.

Study vocabulary for the test.  Pay particular attention to the following words:

1) dominant and recessive alleles

2) phenotype and genotype

3) heterozygous and homozygous

4) Codominance and incomplete dominance

5) allele

 

Read your notes and know how to do Punnett Squares.

Study the vocabulary and familiarize yourself with the punnett squares and pedigree charts.

Study the vocabulary words and the notes for the test.

In addition, study the stages of Mitosis and meiosis.  Use the pictures taken from the textbook to study the stages of both processes.

complete the cross word puzzle

Study guide for the final.  There will not be a separate test for chapter 7.  Instead, the questions for photosynthesis will be included in the final

Sex Education Study Guide

4) Which hormones are released at the start of puberty?

5) Which part of the female reproductive system is the fimbria?

6) A diploid cell is one containing DNA from male and female parent.

Read and annotate pages 91 - 93 of the packet.  Also, read and study the notes and vocabulary words from class.

Chapter 5 Test.  Study Guide attached.

Study the functions of the organelles

Study the vocabulary word

Study the notes.

 

Complete the project started in class.

Also read and annotate the sections of packet covering the functions of the organelles; section 7.3 through the end.
