How to Use Your PLHS Web Lockers
School Web Lockers Login
I: What it is:
School Web Lockers is a private digital storage locker for your school data files. It is a place where you can store your files in your own individual folders (up to 100 Mbs), download assignments that are used in class, and upload your homework after it is complete. It also has a personal calendar, and a school-wide message board. You can access it from any internet connected computer by going to sdcs.schoolweblockers.com.
II: School Web Lockers functions:
Home Directory: Your personal folder - only you can see what is inside. You can create your own sub-directories to organize your own work. Data files and school work only, no executables, games or non-school files. The system is monitored by Web Lockers system administrators as well as school administrators.
You may store files here that you would like to access from other Internet connected computers.
Save any data files that are appropriate (but make sure that the place that you are going to use the file again has the same program. You can save your word files as "RTF" if you don't have MS Word off campus.
III: Class Directories:
Assignments Folder: Find resources and pick up your assignments here. Any item that the teacher puts here can be downloaded for your use.
Homework Due Folder: Turn in completed homework here. This is not a storage location. Files uploaded here will be locked once the teacher views them.
IV: Assessments:
Your teacher can grade and make comments on your homework and return it to you over the Internet.
V: Message Boards:
Use as you want, but remember, every message is public, your name is stamped on each message, what you write is logged and monitored by the district. Keep all postings relevant to school work and appropriate.
VI: How to log on your first time.
Get onto the internet and go to pointlomahigh.com Click on "Quick Links" or "Students" to find "School Web Lockers"
You should see the SDCS School Web Lockers sign-in page. FOR YOUR FIRST USE sign in as follows:
In the Login Name box put the first letter of your first name, followed by the first four letters of your last name, then your student ID number, which is on your ID card.
If your birth month is in any of the months of January through September and your ID # is your birthday plus three numbers you must put a 0 in front of your birth month number. DO NOT SKIP SPACES, some ID numbers are nine numbers and some are five numbers � check your student ID if you are not sure.

In the Password box, copy and paste or type the exact same thing as you did in the Login Name box.
Push the Login and you should have access to SDCS School Web Lockers.
Now change your Login Name and Password to something easy for you to remember by clicking on "My Profile". You can change them both, but make sure that both are easy to remember for later use. If you forget your password, you will need to see the library teacher to get your password reset. Don't share your login or password with anyone.
