PTSA - FAQ's
How can I become involved in the PTSA?

The PTSA meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library.  All parents, teachers, staff and students are welcome.  Meetings usually last about an hour and are not only informative as to what’s happening at PLHS, but is a wonderful time to hear about upcoming events and finding out how you can get involved in planning or helping with that event.  “Many hands make light work!”

Who do I contact to volunteer?

You may contact any of our board members and we can find the right spot for you.  Please see the “Contact Us” link under the PTSA heading.

I’m always hearing about monetary cutbacks at the district level.  Can I donate to the school directly?

Yes!  You may donate by check or credit card online.  The PTSA is a 501 ( c )  ( 3 ) non-profit organization.  Your donation is tax-deductible.  Click here to Contribute Online to the PTSA.

Where does my money go to help?

Money raised supports many needs at the school from student planners to science equipment, classroom enrichment to athletics, music and the arts, field trips to senior year activities.  Ultimately, our goal is to give our students the best well-rounded education we can.

How does my PTSA membership help out?
Membership is currently $5.00 per person.  $4.50 of that membership supports the California State PTA in advocacy at the state and national level.  The additional .50 stays at PLHS.  Please consider an additional contribution at the Booster, Star, Silver, Gold or Platinum level to support PLHS at the local level.  Also, in order to vote at the PTSA board meetings, membership is required.  You can join and pay online by selcting Join PTSA Now!
